60D both menus missing on new install

Created originally on Bitbucket by rabagley

Camera works except that the menu button and trash button do nothing. Info buttons work, all modes seem to work.

11.11.11 release on a 60D with firmware 1.1.0.

I followed the Unified Installation instructions with one variation and one assumption that I didn't know how to verify.

Variation: based on the troubleshooting item that the 60D may request firmware and issue 614 https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/issue/614 , I made the info menu visible before going into the menus to do the update firmware step.

Everything looked good. Green text, yay!

Assumption: "restart your camera" meant turn the camera off and then on. Don't know of a soft restart, and I didn't think it meant to pull and reinsert the battery.

On power-up, the both menu buttons leave the screens unchanged (if blank, stays blank, if info or Q, leaves that visible, etc.).

About to try to put 1.1.0 firmware on the card and see if I can return to normal function.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
