the branches-and-stuff topic, hcangest: 6942fb0a8c9d: can't push default branch with various heads (although they have bookmarks)
I am currently trying out your branch/topic

I encountered a problem
Here is what I am doing. I am maintain matlab-emacs, and I used hg-git but with Manuel Jacobs patch

│ Phase: draft
│ Summary: git_handler: make sure that the same ref is not used for multiple changesets
Maybe I shouldn't have done that
Now I tried out your topic branch
│ Branch: default
│ Author: Dan Villiom Podlaski Christiansen <danchr@gmail.com>

With hg 5.5
So here is what I did in a temporary directory:
- hg clone git+ssh://oub@git.code.sf.net/p/matlab-emacs/src
- mv src matlab-mode
- cd matlab-mode
- create a empty git repository in bitbucket (can be any repositories)
- I run hg push
But then I receive:
pushing to git@bitbucket.org:kalthad/emacs-matlab-sand2.git warning: not pushing branch 'default' as it has multiple heads Warning: Permanently added 'bitbucket.org,2406:da00:ff00::22e9:9f55' (RSA) to the list of known hosts. searching for changes adding objects added 450 commits with 601 trees and 600 blobs adding reference refs/heads/documentation Warning: Permanently added 'bitbucket.org,2406:da00:ff00::22e9:9f55' (RSA) to the list of known hosts.
That is a problem the default branch has head with bookmarks these have been generated when importing all the git branches.
So the push did leave out a considerable part of my repository.
Any idea what to do? I don't want to merge these heads, because it might confuse the git users I am interactive with.
Maybe using Manuel's patch somehow damaged the repository in the sens that it creates to many heads.
Any help is welcome
Regards
Uwe
