Add the Refresh button to the Sync bar when the toolbar is hidden
Created originally on Bitbucket by AngelEzquerra (Angel Ezquerra)
In TortoiseHg 0.9 you can hide the "Toolbar". You may want to do this to maximize the size of the history list, for instance.
The problem I see with this is that when you hide the toolbar you lose direct access to the Refresh button.
Although it is still possible to refresh the view while the Toolbar is hidden by using the View/Refresh menu or hitting F5, I feel that Refreshing the History view is such a common operation that it might be a good idea to never hide that button. Instead, when the toolbar is disabled, a little Refresh icon could be shown to the left of the Sync toolbar, for instance.
This is just a proposal, rather than an enhancement request because there may be other ways to solve the issue that leeds me to refresh to often.
For example, one of the main reasons why I need to use the refresh button often is because the commit tool does not tell the changelog window that an update has happened, for instance. Perhaps if that was "fixed" there would be no need for this particular proposal.
Also, I used to need to refresh the changelog whenever I did a pull from another repository. Perhaps now that most of the sync functionality is built into the changelog window I will not need to refresh the changelog so often.
In addition, if just made a somewhat related change request (#712, Customizable Toolbar), asking to be able to reduce the size of the icons on the Changelog toolbar. Perhaps if that change wereimplemented the need to hide the toolbar to maximize the history list size would be reduced.
Finally, perhaps you may simply think that having access to the refresh button from the view menu is enough.
That is why I make this a proposal only. Feel free to reject it if you think that it is not a good idea.
