Hello,
I encountered this problem when using the shelve feature. Thank you for looking into it.
When I do one of the following, this error popped up:
* create a new shelf
* move changed files to the default shelf
Once the error occurred, the same error popped up whenever I selected Repository->Shelve. It no longer takes me to the Shelve window. The error stays until I removed the shelf file under `.hg/shelves/2020-03-13_14-18-37_parent_rev_1231` \(example\). After I removed the file, I can click on Shelve and get the Shelve window again but as soon as I create a new shelf or move files to the default shelf, the error comes back again.

The purpose of this report is twofold: First, to report that the Debian documentation is out of date. Second, to inquire how I can install the required components myself to run thg again.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/5516Py3: Style string bytes mismatch in the repomodel for extra labels2020-06-21T11:21:26ZBitbucket ImporterPy3: Style string bytes mismatch in the repomodel for extra labels*Created originally on Bitbucket by [Steamy (Will Stott)](https://bitbucket.org/%7Baddeaa8a-d896-43c5-9ad7-621658083d57%7D/)*

That black box is the incorrectly styled label.
The labels list for commits when added to [here](https://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/thg/src/accb88be09b1007a7c90fac41b9a4543c3562bd1/tortoisehg/hgqt/repomodel.py#lines-833) results in entries such as this:
```python
('topic_name', "log.b'topic'")
```
I believe the fix is to change the line linked above to:
```python
labels.append((hglib.tounicode(name), 'log.%s' % hglib.tounicode(ns.colorname)))
```

Sorry if this includes some scenarios that aren’t compatible with your bug tracking criteria. I’ve included the steps that got me to this point so you can determine that.
Am running Manjaro KDE, latest updates, and installed TortoiseHG using the following steps \(with the [help of the Manjaro Forum community](https://forum.manjaro.org/t/tortoisehg-on-manjaro-wont-install-from-application-manager/120512)\)
Installed TortoiseHG from the “Application Manager” \(I believe it’s an AUR installer called bauh\) called “tortoisehg” version 5.2.0-0 maintained by “Misery”.
This entailed me having to run the following commands to have it successfully install;
```
sudo pacman -Syu mercurial
sudo pacman -Syu python-qscintilla-qt5
pamac build python-iniparse
pamac build mercurial-python3
```
But, ran into a bug when trying to save an external repository path;
![](https://bitbucket.org/repo/48R4X/images/2128713932-image.png)
Upon pressing “Save”, this error box came up, and I’m unable to save the path;
```python
Let me know if you need more info. I left the “Priority” as “Major” since it means I’m unable to complete this essential part of the workflow, setting up an external repository to push to.
Here a bug I get on a fresh install on arch manjaro , python 3.8 on a each startup.
Still the ui is usable.
I added:
FYI the code has not changed on current code, so bug can still be there.
So push is impossible, nd also the revert on the last commit. We feel so lost. We found no solution to these "no match found" so we usually try to force sync manually and then try to make thg understand what we done but that's not viable.
Are unity files not suitable to thg?
