TypeError: %b requires a bytes-like object, or an object that implements __bytes__, not 'int'
I tinkered with the code a bit, and found this:
- in `tortoisehg/hgqt/repowidget.py` during `def compressRevisionsPair(self)` the variables `reva, revb = self._selectedIntRevisionsPair()` contain two integers like `19895, 19898` - numbers of revisions being compressed
- in `tortoisehg/hgqt/compress.py` these are stored into `self.revs = revs` during `class CompressDialog` construction
- in same class during `def commit(self)` they are used in format-string `b'%s::%s' % (base, tip)`, that apparently used to work with strings (likely revision hashes) in the past.
It seems like simply replacing `%s` with `%d` is enough to fix the issue - clicking on "Commit" now creates a commit dialog with pre-filled commit message.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/5718Stacktrace after "Cancel" of "Confirm Update"-Dialog2021-05-07T14:20:19ZAndré KlitzingStacktrace after "Cancel" of "Confirm Update"-DialogIf get this error if I click the cancel button in "confirm update"-dialog.

I've tried various versions of THG, and HG back to about 5.5, but they all exhibit the same problem. Currently I am on:
TortoiseHg Dialogs (version 5.8rc0+3-487e2eab0ffe), Mercurial (version 5.8rc1+hg15.b7e623ac98b6)
Python 3.8.6, PyQt 5.15.0, Qt 5.14.2
This is an example command I am using to try and figure out the problem:
thg -v --debug --traceback --profile --nofork update 5.7
I get this output:
opening repo: /home/gavin/Applications/mercurial
creating cmdworker 'server'
add ui file to watcher: /home/gavin/.hgrc
add ui file to watcher: /home/gavin/Applications/mercurial/.hg/hgrc
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
The seg fault appears when I click update in the dialog. All the other messages appear beforehand.
I'm running ubuntu 20.10 on ARM64.
Any suggestions on how to debug this?

It then relies on the contents of `--record` file to find out which files gets installed. However, in case of `thg`, this file is missing every file installed under icons:
```
Missing: share/pixmaps/tortoisehg/icons/16x16
Missing: share/pixmaps/tortoisehg/icons/22x22
...
Missing: share/pixmaps/tortoisehg/icons/scalable
```
I've worked it around on our side, but it'd great to have this fixed upstream, in `setup.py`.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/5704"Update" disabled after pull2021-07-24T10:19:24ZTom Hartland"Update" disabled after pullThis is very minor, but annoying...
