When pushing to a remote git server, the remote tag for the branch does not update it's position in the commit list. Default, Master, tip, etc.. all move as expected. Closing and re-opening the workbench is necessary to show that the remote branch tag has in fact moved to be in sync. Just closing and open the repo (while not closing the workbench) is not enough to make it update either, the workbench must be exited.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/4674Windows 10 - Vertical Scrolling2020-06-21T11:04:19ZBitbucket ImporterWindows 10 - Vertical Scrolling*Created originally on Bitbucket by Anonymous*

Hi,
Great tool!
When the Mouse setting is "One screen at a time" the up and down movements of the wheel, go in the same direction. You can change the mouse setting for Vertical Scrolling back to lines and the scrolling behaviour returns to normal.

Let's say I have a `default` branch and a `somebranch` branch. I want to merge them into the `default` branch, keeping everything "as is" from the `somebranch` branch. That is, wherever there might be any sort of conflict, take the `somebranch` version. Override the local version completely.
There should be an obvious no-brainer option to do that from TortoiseHG, and there isn't.
I update to the tip of the `default` branch, then I right-click on the tip of the `somebranch` branch, and I get the dialog in the attached screenshot. There's an option "discard all changes from the `other` revision". That's great, but there should also be an exactly opposite option: "discard all changes from the local revision".
Of course you can just normally merge, and then in the list of conflicting files, choose "keep other" for each one. But you shouldn't have to go through all that.

At the moment it is possible to add a custom toolbar to the tortoisehg toolbar. This is very helpful, but there is the limitation that there is only shown one toolbar from one configuration file. In our case we would need general tools for every repository (in mercurial.ini) and reposiotry specific tools (in hgrc).
Maybe it is possible to add more than one toolbar with an additional name like that:
workbench.custom-toolbar.xyz = tool1 tool2 tool3

When scrolling change list the checkboxes are stuck at the same position. If resize the changes section or click “Toggle display of text search bar” button the checkboxes will jump to right position. Same thing is happening with revision number of the file log view.
Please see attached screenshots.
This problem appears on MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) macOS Sierra 10.12.2 (16C67).
I have two displays Build-in 13,3 (2560 x 1600) and external Dell U2414H 23,5 (1920 x 1080).
The most strange think that this issue appears only if TortoiseHg window in on external display. I have reproduced this issue on two Macs.
I guess this is some resolution differences issue.

Let's say you have 10 tracked files in your repository which are modified.
In the Commit view, all 10 will be shown checked by default.
Uncheck some of them so that only a subset would be included in a commit.
Restart THG.
All 10 are again shown as checked. It would be nice if it remembered exactly what the state of each file was.
Note - I haven't checked, but I wonder if un/selected hunks in the diff view would be lost too?

This is using TortoiseHg version 4.0.1. I used the following steps to reproduce this:
1) Created 2 empty repositories on BitBucket - TestMainRepo and TestSubRepo
2) Created 2 empty folders on my local hard drive, TestMainRepo and TestSubRepo.
3) Added .hg/hgrc file to TestMainRepo with the following contents:
```
[paths]
default = ssh://hg@bitbucket.org/CVStudios/TestMainRepo
[tortoisehg]
postpull = update
autoresolve = True
cipushafter = default
recurseinsubrepos = True
[web]
name = TestMainRepo
```
4) Added a .hg/hgrc file to TestSubRepo with the following contents:
```
[paths]
default = ssh://hg@bitbucket.org/CVStudios/TestSubRepo
[tortoisehg]
postpull = update
autoresolve = True
cipushafter = default
[web]
name = TestSubRepo
```
5) Added a .hgsub file to TestMainRepo with the following contents:
```
TestSubRepo = TestSubRepo
[subpaths]
bitbucket\.org/CVStudios/(.*)/(.*) = bitbucket.org/CVStudios/\2
```
6) Added a simple .txt file to each repo.
7) Commited (which automatically pushed) TestSubRepo by itself.
8) Commited (which automatically pushed) TestMainRepo, which also added .hgsubstate for me.
9) Confirmed all was correct in BitBucket and could clone TestMainRepo to another folder on my hard drive without any problems, and TestSubRepo came with it.
10) Modified the .txt file in BOTH TestMainRepo and TestSubRepo, and made sure they were marked as modified files.
11) Opened JUST TestMainRepo in TortoiseHg Workbench, wrote commit message, clicked Commit. Got the following output:
```
% hg commit --verbose "--message=Second Commit" --user "Taron <my_e-mail>" --subrepos -- TestSubRepo TestMainRepoFile.txt
12) Checked BitBucket - TestMainRepo is updated, but TestSubRepo is not - it only has the initial commit, not the second one. However, on my local machine, both TestMainRepo and TestSubRepo are updated properly.
I now need to manually push TestSubRepo. If I don't, and try to pull TestMainRepo to another folder, I get this:
The "extensions" setting is providing a raw large list of box to check, that can be scary for new user. We could have categories and probably hide some by default:
* deprecated (eg: children, graphlog)
* experimental (eg: journal, clonebundles, chgserver)
* command line only (eg: color, pager)
* advanced: (eg: relink, bugzilla)
* hide deprecated extensions (at least behind some switch), eg: children, graphlog
* distinct advanced extensions into a "lower part" or hide them, eg: chgserver, https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/4644Unique tab names for multiple repositories with the same last dir name2020-06-21T11:03:38ZBitbucket ImporterUnique tab names for multiple repositories with the same last dir name*Created originally on Bitbucket by [m5k8 (Michael Konieczny)](https://bitbucket.org/%7B9c9a683b-0e4e-4a39-82e2-634c1c41068a%7D/)*
I have several simultaneously open repositories, and often tabs have the same name. This is due to the fact, that my repos are placed in dirs like: .../something1/firmware, .../something2/firmware, etc. Or .../something/src. Then almost all tabs have the same name ("firmware" or "src") and it's hard to navigate amongst them. There's an option to show full path of the repo in title bar (Full Path Title), but this covers only currently selected tab.
My suggestion is as follows: when there are multiple tabs with the same name, extend the tab name with repo path. It doesn't have to be full path from the root (so the tabs don't get too wide), but prepend one directory up every path, until all tab names are unique and distinguishable.
So for example, for two repos:
- /some/path/product1/firmware
- /some/path/product2/firmware
we would have the following tabs:
- product1/firmware
- product2/firmware
instead of
- firmware
- firmware
Many text editors do it this way, for simultaneously open files that have the same names.
In some places in THG Workbench the "revert" function is called "revert" and in other places "discard". I think it would be less confusing if a single term were used as a standard.
I suggest "revert" is the better term since that is also the name of the hg command.
Specific places where I have noticed this:
[1] In Commit view, right click on a modified file. Shows "Revert" option. When you select that option, the dialog mixes both terms.
![Capture.PNG](https://bitbucket.org/repo/48R4X/images/1950622182-Capture.PNG)
Suggest changing "Discard changes" to "Revert without Backup"
[2] Rebase window - says "... you must commit, shelve to patch, or discard..."
[3] Merge window - much the same as rebase
[4] Update window - checkbox "Discard local changes..."
[5] Context menu for a revision - "Revert All File..." option. The dialog then states "Reverting all files will discard changes...". Though this is OK since that is just providing a definition of 'revert', the Hg help for revert defines it as "restore files to their checkout state". Maybe using that definition would be more consistent.
There could be other cases, these are all I can think of right now.
Note - I've been introducing THG to several new users recently and these kinds of issues can be real points of confusion for them (when there is so much else to learn about THG / Hg, etc.)
This is a problem for package management systems, since they usually prefer that every file belongs to one package only.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/4623Strip extension checkbox disabled until rebase (?) checked2020-06-21T11:03:06ZBitbucket ImporterStrip extension checkbox disabled until rebase (?) checked*Created originally on Bitbucket by [roonski (Aaron Lawrence)](https://bitbucket.org/%7Bc7410afa-c0ea-443e-9bb3-39c02dbad434%7D/)*
In the extensions section of TortoiseHg settings, there is a checkbox for Strip. But the checkbox is disabled (cannot be checked) initially.
The way I found to enable the checkbox was to first check Rebase, restart TortoiseHg. Then I could check Strip.
There was no way to discover this except guessing or referring to another working install, that I could see.
Perhaps filter should use the typical "funnel" shaped image which is often used to represent that concept.
Minor issue - CTRL-S is used for "filter" but that keystroke is more often used to mean "search".https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/4621Copy branch name2020-06-21T11:03:03ZBitbucket ImporterCopy branch name*Created originally on Bitbucket by [NN](https://bitbucket.org/%7Bf66e4503-cb56-489c-b87b-d9fb5db1dd37%7D/)*
We would like an option to make the line colors in the graph either fixed, or follow the dot colors (named branch).
I understand that the line colors in the graph are based on which anonymous branch it is. While the dot colors are based on the branch.
To me and all the others in this office the anonymous branch is rarely of use and this just clutters up the view with a lot of deceptive extra colors.
In fact, based on observations of other users, the line color is seen as more significant than the dot colors. Multiple times I have seen people merge or update to the wrong branch because they saw the line color.
