when merging (using workbench), the merge window does not show what files have been changed.
the user must manually click the "working directory" link to see a listing of modifications that will be merged. This data is naturally part of the merge/commit workflow and thus should be directly accessable when writing the merge message, and is generally info that users want to see (what they are merging either into their private or to default). requiring the "out of the way" view of merged files decreases awareness of the project and collaboration.
also, the popup window when clicking "working directory" is modal, thus you can not type in the merge details.

Detect Copies/Renames works quite fast when searching for renamed files ("Only consider deleted files" option), but finding copies requires scanning entire repository, which takes really long time on a ~300MB/20.000 files repository (not to mention that it also requires ~1GB of memory). Selecting only certain directories for the search would certainly speed this process up.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/522workbench usability: auto-pull and refresh graph based on custom timer2020-06-21T09:49:43ZBitbucket Importerworkbench usability: auto-pull and refresh graph based on custom timer*Created originally on Bitbucket by [jasons (jason s)](https://bitbucket.org/%7B0aa8adc2-1d04-4efe-aa50-229042c6eb2f%7D/)*

It would be very useful to have wildcards in the commit filter available. I know they are now automatically applied (so a substring is searched), but this can be too greedy.
If I want for example to list all c-Files and type ".c", I will also see all other types of files like .crc, .cdc etc.
If there was an option to enable 'manual' wildcards I could search for "*.c" and would only get entries ending with .c
(a similar problem exists with header files: unfortunately Eclipse SDK uses .history folders, that are found by filtering for .h)

I'd be nice if on the "Resolved" panel of the resolve tool there was a column showing how each resolved item was resolved.
In particular it should show whether the resolution was automatic (i.e. "mercurial"), manual, local (i.e. the user selected the "local" version) or "other" (i.e. the user selected the "other" version).

When I first had the Revision Set Query window opened, I didn't understand how to actually run the query. Eventually I figured out hitting enter (and not the keypad one) runs it.
It would be nice to make that much more obvious, either by having an Execute button.
Even better would be to have a double-click run the query as-given in the text area.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/434Add ability to have favorite filters2020-06-21T09:47:54ZBitbucket ImporterAdd ability to have favorite filters*Created originally on Bitbucket by [bels (Stephen Belknap)](https://bitbucket.org/%7B3e8e7e8e-fe62-4032-a93f-8329955ee1ac%7D/)*

In the older version of THg, I found myself increasingly relying on the various radio buttons (usually I switched between All, Heads and the branch filter drop down).
With the new Qt version you can filter and get the same results, but it is more steps and less easy to do.
It would be really nice to add an ability to have favorite filters. This could be very similar to say how bookmarks work in webpages. For the feature itself, perhaps clicking the ... button could pop up a menu whereby you some number of favorite queries, perhaps another submenu for more of them, and finally an action for creating one.
Probably the Revision Set Query dialog could then provide some functionality for saving the query, editing previous queries, etc
This query functionality looks to have replaced a lot of the other more manual UI features as it is much more powerful. I then think it advantageous to build out the UI to support more of these queries similar to browser bookmarks/favorites.https://foss.heptapod.net/mercurial/tortoisehg/thg/-/issues/397shellext: Icon overlays on subrepos are sometimes missing2020-06-21T09:47:07ZBitbucket Importershellext: Icon overlays on subrepos are sometimes missing*Created originally on Bitbucket by [janrysavy](https://bitbucket.org/%7B61c3d35c-7bbe-484c-b79f-dba3feea7553%7D/)*

Icon overlays are sometime missing on sub repositories. It depends for example on Windows Explorer sort order - some icons are not displayed when sorting by Name, but could be visible when sorting by Date.
When we copy subrepo outside out of the main repository, icon overlay is OK.
Icon overlays inside subrepos are always OK.

The conflict handling for content conflicts when applying a patch is very nice overall, but I've noticed that it doesn't handle the situation where the a file in the patch has been removed in the repo.
The patch is marked as "applied" without any visual prompt of problems (the output log does show a message, but it isn't necessarily obvious that it hasn't worked without carefully looking at the output). There also doesn't appear to be an easy way to deal with the situation.
Ideally this situation would be handled in the same way as merging changes into a removed file in real changesets is handled (with the below dialog):
{{{
---------------------------
TortoiseHg Prompt
---------------------------
local changed file2.txt which remote deleted
use (c)hanged version or (d)elete?
---------------------------
&Changed &Delete
---------------------------
}}}
I've attached a test repository that exhibits the problem.
