My settings from _mercurial.ini_ are recognized because `hg config` lists them but they have no effect:
```
pager.pager=less -R -F -X
pager.attend=annotate, cat, diff, export, glog, help, log, qdiff, qseries, status, tags
pager.ignore=version, help, update
```
Also, when removing all pager settings or replacing `less` with something else doesn't change anything. The values of environment variable `PAGER` and `ui.paginate` (as mentioned in `hg help pager`) have no effect either. Regardless of the settings, the output is not piped through any pager.

They go away as soon as they appear, but they're quite obnoxious and distracting. I'm sure that they're doing important work in the background, but there should be a way to do this without opening new command prompt windows. When I run `hg status` or `hg diff` myself I don't get these, so I assume they are not coming from Mercurial itself.
I'd be willing to take a look at fixing this myself if someone could point me in the right direction (what code is causing this).
