Workbench: add command to scan for changes
Created originally on Bitbucket by Anonymous
I have a rather large list of repos in the Workbench Repository Registry and I have often wished to have a command to scan all (or a sub-set) of them for outstanding changes.
This should (at a minimum) be triggered manually but it may also be worthwhile to (optionally) scan all repos at start-up in this manner.
When triggering manually, I would suggest adding the command to the Registry context menu. Using groups to control the granularity of this seems advantageous. I'm not certain that offering this command on single repos is useful, so offering it only on groups might make sense.
If a repo is found to have changes it could either be marked in some way (e.g. render its name in italics) or a tab could be opened automatically. Opening the tab is probably easier because it doesn't appear to introduce any sync issues. Marking state using font styling (or something similar) introduces the possibly of the display becoming out-of-sync with the actual repo state.
