Add support for pushing multiple selected commits from the Workspace
Created originally on Bitbucket by jurko (Jurko Gospodnetić)
TortoiseHg Workspace currently allows you to:
- list all commits that can be pushed to a specific repo
- push all the listed commits to the target repo
- push just the selected commit (together with any of its missing ancestors)
- push all the commits on the selected commit's branch (together with any of their missing ancestors)
It would be nice if Workspace would provide the same push to here
& push selected branch
options when multiple commits are selected as it does when only a single one is selected.
I often find myself in a situation where I want to push some of my unrelated commits/branches to another repo, but do not want to push others. In such cases using the Workspace for this becomes very uncomfortable as I need to repeat the following for every such commit:
- list all commits that can be pushed (can take a while)
- select one of those I want to push
- use the
push to here
orpush selected branch
operation on just the single selected commit - wait for the push to complete (can take a while)
It would be better if I could do this just once:
- list all commits that can be pushed
- select all the commits I wish to push
- use the
push to here
orpush selected branch
operation on all the selected commits at once.
Another thing that could come in useful here is if Workspace did not revert back to displaying all the commits in the current repo after performing a sync operation on a specific commit, if there were additional commits left in the sync list after the operation. That would help avoid the manual rescanning to find our what commits are left to sync with the target repo.
Hope this helps.
