WinMerge processes stay in memory after "Visual Diff" operation
Created originally on Bitbucket by yannick.jost.work
I don't know if it's related to tortoisehg, but when using WinMerge as diff tool, the WinMergeU.exe processes stay in memory after closing all windows.
== How to reproduce ==
- Install WinMerge (http://winmerge.org/downloads/)
- Use the following Hg configuration
{{{ [merge-tools] winmergeu.executable = C:\Program Files\WinMerge\WinMergeU.exe winmergeu.priority= 1 winmergeu.fixeol=True winmergeu.checkchanged=True winmergeu.args= /e /ub /dl other /dr local $other $local $output winmergeu.gui=False winmergeu.binary=True }}}
- Go in a repository and modify some files
- Use the shell menu TortoiseHg/Visual Diff
- The modified files are shown by WinMerge
- Close the WinMerge window
- Use Process Explorer or the standard TaskList : there are remaining WinMerge processes. This doesn't occur with KDiff3.
== Expected behaviour ==
- No WinMergeU.exe processes should remain after closing the Visual Diff tool.
