Tab icon while waiting for Push/Pull confirmation

Created originally on Bitbucket by freefaller (Tom Hartland)

If you have multiple tabs open and you "check for incoming changes" or "detect outgoing changes" the tab updates to show the green sync icon while communication takes place with the remote server. And when you click Push All/Pull All button you get the same sync icon... that's all fine.

However, if you go to a different tab after you "check" or "detect" the green icon disappears and it's not obvious that the tab is awaiting your decision.

Can I suggest that either the sync button remains, or even better a new icon to denote that an interaction is being requested?

I realise that 99% of people will wait for the result of the check/detect and click the appropriate button straight away - but there are times when I'm working with 4 different repos at the same time and swap between them.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
