commit: Removed files remain checked and might get re-added by mistake
Created originally on Bitbucket by DaveInCaz (David Hollman)
If you do an operation in THG workbench which removes a file, the file then shows up in the commit view with a ? symbol.
But said file also REMAINS checked. This is a bit dangerous, because it would be possible to accidentally re-add the file in the next commit. Particularly if the next commit also included some file additions perhaps, or other confusing circumstances (like the ? files being scrolled off the bottom of the list).
Here's an example scenario:
-
Have file
a.txt
in version control -
Have file
b.txt
not yet in version control -
hg ren a.txt b.txt --after
-
commit
-
THG will STILL show
a.txt
in the commit view, and it will be checked
