Cannot perform any operations within TortoiseHg

Created originally on Bitbucket by Matthew Allwood

Hi,

I think I've managed to get my TortoiseHg into a bit of a state

Attempting to perform any operation in any repository via a GUI results in cmdserver: process exited unexpectedly with code 0

This happens with pull, push, check for changes

On trying to perform an update, I get another error which may give a hint: cmdserver: Process failed to start: The system cannot find the file specified. cmdserver: process exited unexpectedly with code 0

though there's no hint of which file it is looking for.

Working with the hg command line works fine, however.

I had been trying to get ssh working with Jenkins, but eventually gave up as a lost cause and reverted to https with mercurial keyring, but there's nothing remaining in either my user or repo mercurial.ini files. I had tried adding a mercurial.ini file to the TortoiseHg install folder and via the repository but neither of these were successful and I deleted them afterwards. I don't think there should be any other residual changes that haven't been reverted.

I am running tortoiseHg 4.5 on Windows Server 2016

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
