python3, thg 5.0.2, build from source, syntax error in setup.py

Created originally on Bitbucket by Anonymous

OS: Fedora 25

I have both python 2.7 and python 3.5.4. /usr/bin/python is a symlink to python 3.5.4, which is my default python interpreter.

The error:

[tortoisehg-5.0.2]$ python ./setup.py --help Traceback (most recent call last): File "./setup.py", line 30, in from i18n.msgfmt import Msgfmt File "/mnt/store/data/distr/thg/tortoisehg-5.0.2/i18n/msgfmt.py", line 115 0x950412deL, # Magic ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax
