Multiple revision selection within Hg file log viewer - why?

TortoiseHg version 2.1.1.
Choosing a version-controlled file within Windows Explorer and then choosing "Tortoise Hg | Revision History" from the context menu opens the Hg file log viewer.
The list of revisions at the top of the form allows multiple selections. Why? As far as I can see, none of the items available from the associated context-menu takes any notice of the fact that multiple items are selected.
Here's an example: Supposing file x has revision numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 If I select revision 7 followed by revision 3 (two items selected) and then select "Visual diff..." from the context menu, I am presented with the differences between revisions 6 and 7. If I repeat the above selecting 3 first then 7, I get the same result (a diff between the highest revision number and its immediate predecessor).
If I select three items (in any order) and ask for a Visual Diff, I get a diff between the lowest revision and its immediate predecessor.
What should the viewer be doing in these scenarios?
What I'd like (and was expecting) is to be able to select two different revision numbers and to then be able to see a visual difference between the file at the two different revisions via a context-menu choice.
