Is protection working in 3.0.3?

I can’t get any form of protection working

This:

 ws.protection.sheet = True
 ws.protection.password = '123456'

does nothing. There are no restrictions on the user.

I also tried workbook protection and protecting the structure. When I re-open the spreadsheet, the hashed version of the workbook password is present, but there is no actual protection of the structure.

I am opening in both LibreOffice 6.3 and Excel 2016.

Is this a known issue?

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
