Issue loading/reading an online excel file.
I am trying to read an online excel .xlsx file that is updated daily via Pandas (version 1.0.5) with openpyxl engine (version 3.0.7). The code I'm using is the following:
DeathURL = 'https://www.dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/TexasCOVID19DailyCountyFatalityCountData.xlsx'
TxDeath = pd.read_excel(DeathURL, engine='openpyxl', skiprows=2, sheet_name='Fatalities by County')
The warning that I'm getting is:
/Users/admin/anaconda3/lib/python3.7/site-packages/openpyxl/styles/stylesheet.py:221: UserWarning: Workbook contains no default style, apply openpyxl's default
warn("Workbook contains no default style, apply openpyxl's default")
The Pandas dataframe that it creates is empty. If I remove the skiprows=2 from the read_excel() function, the Pandas dataframe contains only the first cell of the Excel file. I do not have control over how the online excel file is saved/formatted and I'm hoping to get this to work without daily manually downloading and reformatting the excel file.
