symtable module can't be imported

Created originally on Bitbucket by Stanisław Pitucha

In both 2.5 and 2.6 releases, the symtable module cannot be loaded. The symtable itself is installed with pypy, but _symtable imported inside of it is missing.

I'm using the version installed from ppa, so I'm not sure if that's ppa/deb specific, or applies to the whole system.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
