Mode for short(ish) lived processes
Hello, I'm maintaining multiple projects, and sadly supporting pypy is always a bit of pain because adding it to the CI matrix means I'm effectively significantly increasing the feedback loop. Just installing the build dependencies usually takes twice the time, as this involves many sub-process invocations by pip. While pypy's JIT mode is great for long-running processes, it hurts this (common) use case. Could we add some mode (that can be enabled by flag + env var) that optimizes this use case? I feel like it would encourage more maintainers to add PyPy to their CI, as it would not be so costly. (It's an orthogonal question, but wonder if we could improve coverage performance - so I don't have to add the no cover pragma for the pypy parts).
