VS Code does not recognize Pypy3.7 as Python Interpreter
I was trying to get Pypy working with VS Code and followed this instructions.
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
VS Code Version Info:
- Version: 1.56.0 (user setup)
- Commit: cfa2e218100323074ac1948c885448fdf4de2a7f
- Date: 2021-05-04T22:09:06.405Z
- Electron: 12.0.4
- Chrome: 89.0.4389.114
- Node.js: 14.16.0
- V8: 18.104.22.168-electron.0
- OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.19042
As you see in the screenshot below I selected the Pypy executable "pypy3.exe" after unpacking the zip folder from this download source (pypy3.7-v7.3.4-win64).
Following step 2 I ran
C:\Users\minha\Documents\pypy3.7-v7.3.4-win64\pypy3.exe -m ensurepip. It successfully installed "setuptools (47.1.0)" and "pip (20.1.1)". I can even install packages like "numpy" with the command
C:\Users\minha\Documents\pypy3.7-v7.3.4-win64\pypy3.exe -m pip install numpy.
But trying to select the pypy3.exe simply does not work and leads to this:
Hope you can help me setup Pypy in VS Code.
Kind regards, Christian
