PyPy 3.9 started reporting .py files as absolute, but not in all places
The coverage.py nightly tests started failing for PyPy 3.9 on July 27th. It looks like PyPy started following the CPython 3.9 behavior of reporting argv as an absolute file name. That's fine, coverage.py can adapt. But CPython also uses absolute file names in tracebacks, but PyPy doesn't. (I think?)
Let me know what to expect, and I can adjust the coverage.py test suite as needed.
