Movie view not working in Big Sur
The command described in the page to link to a movie file and play it in the movie view does not seem to work in Big Sur.
I will provide a minimal example below. The LaTeX file compiles fine and it works in other pdf applications (the movie opens in Quicktime Player when the link is clicked on), so it is neither a matter of coding error or the file not being accessible. Clicking the link in Présentation apparently does nothing. The view does not change to the movie view, and changing manually produces an empty movie view.
Notes:
- I added Présentation to the list of applications awarded "Full Disk Access" but that did not help.
- The cursor changes indicate that the link is detected, but clicking has no effect
- Workaround at the moment to play within Présentation is to place the movie in the directory of the local webserver, use an http link and play it in the web view - that works!
Minimal example:
\documentclass{beamer}
\begin{document} \begin{frame}{test} \href{run:myfile.mov}{Play movie} \end{frame} \end{document}
