Exception in Settings Dialog

I installed the latest version of TortoiseHg (2.3) to update my existing 2.2.2 version. I opened the TortoiseHg Workbench, opened a repository from the Repository Registry, and renamed a few files (changing just letter casing) without committing them. Then I used the File menu to open Settings. I got the following error immediately after the settings dialog was opened:
