"Nonetype has no attribute readline" when changing repo port

Created originally on Bitbucket by ekolis (Ed Kolis)

One of the repos I'm using changed its port from 65001 to 3690 without changing the rest of its URL. I changed that in TortoiseHG so I could continue using the repo, but now I get this error whenever I try to pull from it.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
