Allow selecting rename files manually

Created originally on Bitbucket by psuter (Peter Suter)

Sometimes the guessing/automatic detecting of the rename dialog doesn't work well, and manual intervention is required.

So far the only option seems to be running hg rename -A SOURCE DEST on the command line.

For command line phobic users it would be nice if there was another option that does not require using the command line. For example the Detect Renames dialog could have a button Browse that opens allows selecting a SOURCE file from a parent revision tree view, and a DEST file from a working directory tree view.

Or if started directly from the Workbench on a file context menu, only the SOURCE selection would be required.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
