Mac instructions to build DMG

Created originally on Bitbucket by steve-spencer (Steve Spencer)

The binaries for Thg on Mac OS X lag far behind the current version (e.g. 4.7 vs 5), and 4.7 via the DMG binary is pretty bad, with window panels that don’t collapse.

I’m exploring building from source, but the docs are out of date, it’s unclear which route to use, the packages are ancient, and it takes a very long time. My team needs a DMG. I’d like to build the DMG itself, but have no idea how to go about that. Is it possible for this to be documented, such that the community can more easily produce DMG files for the latest Thg?

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
