Please change the datavalidation module showErrorMessage
and showInputMessage
from True
to None
. Our organization uses XLSForm with a variety of data validation rules to help our users create their applications. Some rules have error alerts and others do not, we are creating some scripts to help our users automate their workflows making use of openpyxl and ran into an issue where after saving the XLSForm in openpyxl the data validation rules that don't have error alerts prior to running the script have error alerts enabled after running the script.
This issue is related to #1284 (closed) just with the showErrorMessage
and showInputMessage
parameters.
Sample XLSForm: Survey123_Template_Advanced_20210827.xlsx
Sample script: Openpyxl_1284.py
Note before running the script the data validation for the appearance column wont have an error alert, but after running the script the error alert will be enabled.
On my end I had changed the datavalidation.py file and set showErrorMessage
and showInputMessage
to None
and that seems to resolve the issue. Issue is reproducible in 3.0.9.
